This is a special class, unlike anything your child will experience in their academic training. They will be instructed by a university professor who specializes in the history and culture of people of Afrikan descent around the world. There is no better way to increase the self-esteem and self-confidence of a young person than to learn what their ancestors and current individuals have contributed to world development. Too often schools do not go beyond the episode of slavery, but this class will reveal a great history and culture that is for the most part hidden or omitted in school systems. Don’t let your child miss this unique educational event. The class is taught in association with African American Studies, Loyola Marymount University. PDF FORMS: Schedule Flyer Registration Form
